Txema Salvans: Sunday Morning

Baeza, Pepe, Salvans, Txema

Through patience and consistency, Salvans turns banal encounters in a supermarket lot into a visual symphony of life on the urban periphery Txema Salvans (born 1971) has spent every sunny Sunday for the past 10 years on the roof of his van, photographing people who gather in a supermarket parking lot on the outskirts of Barcelona. This unlikely leisure ground, both empty and absurd, hosts practical routines, quiet breaks and even silent quests to suspend time.
