A Young Girl Reading Notebook

Fragonard, Jean-Honore

Genre paintings, or scenes from everyday life, were enormously popular in 18th-century France. Fragonard's Young Girl Reading, which dates from the 1770s, recaptures the aristocratic style of its era while offering a timeless meditation on beauty and the act of reading. The image graces the cover of this 64-page blank notebook, a portable companion that will easily fit into a pocket or handbag.
